Tot i no ser l&#8217;idioma oficial de cap pa\u00eds, el moviment esperantista \u00e9s viu, amb especial pres\u00e8ncia a Europa i l&#8217;\u00c0sia Oriental.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Els seus or\u00edgens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Un calor\u00f3s 26 de juliol de 1887, es va publicar a Vars\u00f2via la primera \u201cgram\u00e0tica de la Llengua Internacional\u201d, un idioma creat artificialment amb la intenci\u00f3 de ser un vehicle de comunicaci\u00f3 neutral entre pobles. Era un opuscle de quaranta p\u00e0gines en llengua russa. El seu autor, el jove oculista jueu polon\u00e8s <strong>Lejzer Zamenhof<\/strong> (1859-1917), la va signar sota el <strong>pseud\u00f2nim Dr. Esperanto<\/strong> (en esperanto, &#8220;el que t\u00e9 esperan\u00e7a\u201d).\u00a0Aquell mateix any l&#8217;opuscle va apar\u00e8ixer en alemany, angl\u00e8s i franc\u00e8s.\u00a0L&#8217;esperanto aportava facilitat de comunicaci\u00f3 i igualtat ling\u00fc\u00edstica i aviat va connectar arreu del m\u00f3n amb els pacifistes i amb molts intel\u00b7lectuals. El conjunt de persones que militaven en pro de la pau, la llibertat i la igualtat, i ara tamb\u00e9 l&#8217;esperanto, era molt ampli, aix\u00ed com les associacions que es van crear i les convencions que es van celebrar.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019esperanto quall\u00e0 m\u00e9s en les ideologies socialment transformadores, ja fos l\u2019anarquisme, el naturisme, el feminisme o el pacifisme, que en les conservadores. Molts sectors obrers van trobar en l\u2019esperanto una manera efica\u00e7 de satisfer els seus desitjos de comunicar-se amb altres persones d\u2019arreu del m\u00f3n; particularment persones de les mateixes classes socials i pos\u00e0 en pr\u00e0ctica aix\u00ed una forma tangible d\u2019internacionalisme. La xifra de parlants va anar creixent gradualment amb el temps, encara que mai hi va haver gaire suport per part de governs i organismes internacionals; fins i tot va arribar a ser considerat il\u00b7legal, i es va perseguir els parlants en certes ocasions.<\/p>\n<p>A Catalunya, l&#8217;esperanto va arribar m\u00e9s tard que a altres zones de la Pen\u00ednsula i que a altres pa\u00efsos d\u2019Europa. La primera associaci\u00f3 esperantista fou l\u2019<strong>Aplec Esperantista de Catalunya<\/strong>, que public\u00e0 el butllet\u00ed <em>Espero Katalunjo<\/em> el 1905, el que va donar un pas important en la difusi\u00f3 de l\u2019esperanto. Va tenir un pes important entre els anarquistes i els anarcosindicalistes afiliats a la Confederaci\u00f3n Nacional del Trabajo, sindicat fundat a Barcelona el 1910.<\/p>\n<p>Algunes, poques, dones es van adherir. Bona part del col\u00b7lectiu esperantista estava format per religiosos, militars, mestres i professionals liberals (advocats, procuradors, comerciants), i la majoria assumiren, a part de la llengua, la filosofia de Zamenhof, que anava m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la seva dimensi\u00f3 ling\u00fc\u00edstica. Era l\u2019element fonamental d\u2019una espiritualitat pacifista que, en ess\u00e8ncia, considerava a totes les persones com a membres d\u2019una mateixa fam\u00edlia humana.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Una mestra esperantista com a exemple<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Teresa Rosell i Capdevila va n\u00e9ixer a Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa, Garraf, un dia especialment fred d\u2019hivern: el 6 de febrer de 1872, un any abans de que a Espanya s\u2019implant\u00e9s la Primera Rep\u00fablica Espa\u00f1ola. Va ser una dona amb empenta, filla del seu temps. Era professora de catal\u00e0 i d&#8217;esperanto. Rosell feia de mestra d\u2019ensenyament primari, havia estudiat Filosofia i Lletres, i establ\u00ed un centre d\u2019ensenyament no reglat per a noies, a la seva casa del carrer Major, 44, amb l\u2019ajut de la seva germana Eul\u00e0lia, tamb\u00e9 dedicada a l\u2019ensenyament de l\u2018esperanto. Col\u00b7laborant, ambdues realitzaven nombroses activitats docents, culturals i socials a Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa. El 1909, Teresa ja formava part de la Junta de la primera Associaci\u00f3 \u201cLaboro Esperanta\u201d que s\u2019organitz\u00e0 a Vilanova. Va ensenyar m\u00e9s de 30\u00a0anys, fins a la vict\u00f2ria del general Franco en la guerra civil (1936-1939), que la va privar del seu treball. A part de la seva dedicaci\u00f3 a l\u2019ensenyament, ambdues germanes estan consideres unes recuperadores importants d\u2019importants tradicions i folklore de Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa, com ara moltes can\u00e7ons populars i les danses de Vilanova.<\/p>\n<p>Despr\u00e9s de la guerra, l\u2019any 1939, ella i la seva germana es van veure abocades a la mis\u00e8ria, ja que el nou r\u00e8gim les oblig\u00e0 a tancar l&#8217;acad\u00e8mia. Foren a passar els \u00faltims anys de la seva vida i all\u00e0 moriren a la Casa d&#8217;Empara, de Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa, on per entrar-hi s&#8217;hagueren de vendre la casa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quantes persones parlen esperanto a l\u2019actualitat?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S&#8217;estima que entre 100.000 i 2 milions de persones parlen esperanto a l&#8217;actualitat, ja sigui de forma fluida o activa, segons diverses fonts.
