Per\u00f2 el cas \u00e9s que a Esc\u00f2cia es van prendre molt seriosament el <strong>tema educatiu<\/strong>, tant, que el van <strong>reformar i reformar fins convertir-lo en una com\u00e8dia<\/strong>. Va ser llavors quan un nou <strong>primer ministre, <\/strong>molt innovador, <em>labour <\/em>i progre, va decidir canviar les coses.<\/p>\n<p>Amb el segle XXI recent estrenat i gaireb\u00e9 encara embolicat en paper de regal, <strong>Jack Wilson McConnell<\/strong> es va fer c\u00e0rrec del Ministeri de Finances i Educaci\u00f3 amb l&#8217;obsessi\u00f3 de ser el primer de la classe, \u00e9s a dir, de dotar Esc\u00f2cia amb millor sistema educatiu del m\u00f3n, que l\u2019era fins aleshores, almenys s\u2019hi atansava. El nostre ministre va pensar que el podia millorar canviant simplement l&#8217;ess\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;ensenyament escoc\u00e8s per mitj\u00e0 de la introducci\u00f3 del constructivisme pedag\u00f2gic i d\u2019altres elements a disposici\u00f3 en el mercat de les modes educatives. I va decidir acollir-se a les innovacions pedag\u00f2giques del moment, que corrien pels Estats Units des de principis del segle XX. Vegeu, per exemple, l&#8217;escola per projectes, <strong>l&#8217;educaci\u00f3 per compet\u00e8ncies <\/strong>\u2013<em>skill<\/em>&#8211; i el constructivisme en general, idees d\u2019altra banda no gens innovadores, at\u00e8s que eren de feia m\u00e9s de cent anys.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell es va inventar un nou curr\u00edculum que en podr\u00edem dir <em>con faldas y a lo loco<\/em>, \u00e9s a dir, sense pensar ni contrastar els fets amb les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies, i \u00e9s clar, <em>ning\u00fa no \u00e9s perfecte<\/em>. D&#8217;aleshores en\u00e7\u00e0, aquest curr\u00edculum per a l&#8217;excel\u00b7l\u00e8ncia va reduir els continguts a impartir, \u00e9s a dir, va fulminar la transmissi\u00f3 de coneixements per tal de centrar-se en les compet\u00e8ncies ambig\u00fces. I malgrat que ja se sab\u00e9s que sense coneixements no es poden desenvolupar compet\u00e8ncies, la pol\u00edtica educativa escocesa va perseverar en aquell error i cr\u00f2nica d&#8217;una mort anunciada. Posem l&#8217;exemple en la hist\u00f2ria. Ara ja no caldria memoritzar els fets hist\u00f2rics, sin\u00f3, simplement <strong>que l&#8217;alumne project\u00e9s les seves emocions davant d&#8217;algun fet hist\u00f2ric<\/strong>. \u00c9s a dir, ja no importava que sabessin hist\u00f2ria si aprenien a sentir-la a dins. Ara havien de buscar el sentit del passat en el present, per\u00f2 sense con\u00e8ixer el passat. I, \u00e9s clar, sense con\u00e8ixer el passat no hi ha manera d&#8217;entendre el present hist\u00f2ric i ni de bon tros donar-li sentit. Intenteu explicar la Segona Guerra Mundial sense con\u00e8ixer la Primera, o la Revoluci\u00f3 Francesa deixant de banda la Il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Com podem veure, <strong>el canvi pedag\u00f2gic a Esc\u00f2cia va consistir en una cosa absolutament radical<\/strong> que va abolir all\u00f2 que funcionava a canvi d&#8217;una cosa de nom\u00e9s sonava b\u00e9. Si abans el sistema es fonamentava en docents experts en la seva mat\u00e8ria per a impartir-la als alumnes, ara la cosa es capgirava del rev\u00e9s, ja que els alumnes serien el centre del sistema educatiu; cosa que sona molt b\u00e9 per\u00f2 que deixa el docent docte fora del focus de l&#8217;ensenyament. M&#8217;explico, si abans era un docent instru\u00eft qui ensenyava els discents, ara serien els alumnes els que aprendrien per ells mateixos sense un professor expert en la mat\u00e8ria. Est\u00e0vem davant del constructivisme, de l&#8217;aprenentatge per descobriment i el seu <em>learning by doing<\/em>, tot havent passat del docent com a centre del sistema educatiu a l&#8217;alumne. Ara <strong>ja no es tenia en compte el valor dels coneixements<\/strong> a aprendre, sin\u00f3 les compet\u00e8ncies que havien de preparar els alumnes per a treballs que encara no existeixen; tota una paradoxa si parem compte al fet que si no es coneix el futur d&#8217;alguna cosa, com es pot preparar els alumnes privant-los dels coneixements previs? Per\u00f2 \u00e9s que, a m\u00e9s, no hi ha cap estudi amb dades contrastades que demostri aquesta suposici\u00f3. L\u2019\u00fanic, aix\u00f2 s\u00ed, l\u2019OCDE i en el seu informe del 2016, que afirmava sense aportar cap dada ni evid\u00e8ncies anal\u00edtiques que el 65 % dels alumnes actuals treballar\u00e0 en oficis que encara no han estat inventats; una afirmaci\u00f3, aquesta s\u00ed, totalment inventada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El 2010 es va comen\u00e7ar a aplicar la flamant reforma educativa a Esc\u00f2cia,<\/strong> sota la perplexitat dels docents i la seva impot\u00e8ncia per a comprendre en qu\u00e8 consistia, per\u00f2 acompanyada d&#8217;una tempesta burocr\u00e0tica descomunal. En fi, m\u00e9s informes per a ensenyar pitjor. A Espanya s&#8217;ha viscut tamb\u00e9 aquest absurd des de la LOGSE dels 90 fins a la LOMLOE actual. I el mateix es pot dir del Quebec, Portugal, Fran\u00e7a, Noruega, Su\u00e8cia, Finl\u00e0ndia, Dinamarca i els Pa\u00efsos Baixos. Ser\u00e0 que les reformes educatives s\u00f3n un virus contagi\u00f3s? O potser la manca d&#8217;imaginaci\u00f3 pol\u00edtica copia els errors dels ve\u00efns?<\/p>\n<p>La conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia de tot all\u00f2 va ser que en pocs anys <strong>el sistema educatiu d&#8217;Esc\u00f2cia es va ensorrar<\/strong> i McConnell se\u2019n va rentar les mans a la manera de Pon\u00e7 \u00a0Pilat. Actualment la tend\u00e8ncia segueix a la baixa sense cap s\u00edmptoma de recuperaci\u00f3 juntament amb els seus germans ib\u00e8rics, quebequesos, gals, n\u00f2rdics i dels Pa\u00efsos Baixos. Aquests darrers ja havien avisat els altres de les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies d&#8217;adoptar les idees contructivistes amb l&#8217;alumne com a centre del sistema educatiu. Als anys noranta els Pa\u00efsos Baixos obtenien uns resultats excel\u00b7lents en matem\u00e0tiques, per\u00f2 en aplicar el 1998 la reforma alumnecentrista, i en tan sols un any, van provocar la davallada i la ira de fam\u00edlies i estudiants davant d\u2019aquella presa de p\u00e8l. La societat holandesa, molt culta i cr\u00edtica, no es va empassar l&#8217;estafa i el desembre del 1999 va sortir al carrer. A Nova York, i sota la mateixa reforma educativa, van trigar quatre anys a sortir al carrer; mentrestant, a Espanya la gran majoria de les fam\u00edlies encara no s&#8217;han assabentat del que \u00e9s obvi, que <strong>aquest sistema educatiu pret\u00e9n que ens creguem cultes, per\u00f2 que seguim ignorants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sembla clar que deixar de valorar els coneixements porta cap al frac\u00e0s educatiu d&#8217;un pa\u00eds i que el transvasament del centre educatiu des del professor cap a l&#8217;alumne sona molt b\u00e9, per\u00f2 que esdev\u00e9 una monumental beneiteria sota un constructivisme molt mal utilitzat. La clau per solucionar aquest efecte d\u00f2mino als pa\u00efsos sota l&#8217;hecatombe educativa no \u00e9s sin\u00f3 revalorar la transmissi\u00f3 de coneixements a trav\u00e9s de professors doctes, llibres de text de qualitat i un curr\u00edculum exigent, a m\u00e9s de proves nacionals de nivell al final de cada etapa. Una aut\u00e8ntica i efica\u00e7 reforma pedag\u00f2gica ser\u00e0 la que defensi el docent com a autoritat acad\u00e8mica, la transmissi\u00f3 dels coneixements i el domini profund de la comprensi\u00f3 lectora entre els seus estudiants. Sense un vocabulari ric i extens, sense una cultura de l&#8217;esfor\u00e7 i sense referents doctes de qui aprendre, siguin llibres o educadors, resultar\u00e0 molt dif\u00edcil <em>aprendre a aprendre<\/em> coneixements nous. En aix\u00ed com un dels estats m\u00e9s pobres dels Estats Units ha aconseguit revertir els mals resultats acad\u00e8mics aplicant justament tot l&#8217;anterior. L&#8217;estat de <strong>Mississippi va comen\u00e7ar l&#8217;any 2013 un pla<\/strong> fonamentat sobretot en la comprensi\u00f3 lectora, els llibres de text, les proves de nivell, la repetici\u00f3 de curs, el curr\u00edculum rigor\u00f3s, els ajuts als endarrerits i la formaci\u00f3 de docents doctes i excelsos. Actualment els resultats acad\u00e8mics de les escoles de l&#8217;Estat de Mississippi s\u00f3n <strong>dels millors de tot els Estats Units<\/strong> i a un cost per sota de la mitjana nacional. \u00c9s a dir, Mississippi representa a nivell educatiu nord-americ\u00e0 all\u00f2 del <em>bueno, bonito y barato<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Sortosament per als escocesos, a Esc\u00f2cia han decidit finalment posar-se les faldilles de gala, el <em>kilt<\/em>, i s\u2019estan deixant de compet\u00e8ncies, <em>skill<\/em>: revalorar els coneixements al curr\u00edculum, la lectoescriptura dels seus alumnes i un sistema d&#8217;avaluaci\u00f3 amb proves al final de cada etapa.
