Aix\u00f2 des de la convicci\u00f3 que l&#8217;altura moral dels principis addu\u00efts \u00e9s suficient per tal que la seva proclamaci\u00f3 com a reals produeixi l&#8217;efecte taumat\u00fargic de transformaci\u00f3 de la realitat en el sentit legislat per aquests ideals. Com si estigu\u00e9ssim construint un pessebre de Nadal. I si la realitat se&#8217;ns resisteix, la certesa moral d&#8217;estar en el bon cam\u00ed ens legitima per a seguir negant-la obstinadament, cada cop m\u00e9s culpabilitzada.<\/p>\n<p>Com <strong>Don Quixot<\/strong>, conven\u00e7ut de ser v\u00edctima d&#8217;un maligne encantament en veure la seva inigualable Dulcinea convertida en una ruda camperola. El que est\u00e0 terminantment prohibit \u00e9s preguntar-se si aquests principis no seran potser totalment o parcialment inadequats a la realitat sobre la qual els apliquem, perqu\u00e8 aix\u00f2 seria q\u00fcestionar-los en la seva totalitat; almenys en el model d&#8217;absoluts en qu\u00e8 ens estem movent, on la idea \u00e9s ella mateixa origen i dest\u00ed. Tampoc el centre d&#8217;inter\u00e8s \u00e9s el sistema educatiu, sin\u00f3 un dels seus epifen\u00f2mens, ni la idea funciona com el referent regulatiu que ens podria permetre seguir cr\u00edticament avan\u00e7ant, en comptes de deixar-nos encallats en la contum\u00e0cia, sin\u00f3 com un imperatiu incondicional.<\/p>\n<p>Podr\u00edem considerar-ho <strong>el triomf de la voluntat sobre la realitat<\/strong>. Un triomf vanament vanit\u00f3s i en tot cas rem\u00e8s \u00fanicament a l\u2019\u00e0mbit de l\u2019estrictament declaratiu. Una cosa aix\u00ed com <strong>decretar el dret a ser feli\u00e7<\/strong> pel procediment de prohibir no ser-ho. Ni tan sols \u00e9s una vict\u00f2ria p\u00edrrica, sin\u00f3 imaginada i sobre un enemic igualment inexistent que cal tanmateix inventar. Un error molt en sintonia amb la idea tan estesa avui dia i d&#8217;acord amb la qual n&#8217;hi ha prou de desitjar ser alguna cosa per aconseguir ser-ho. La primacia del merament <strong>declaratiu sobre la realitat efectiva<\/strong>. Una carrinclona confusi\u00f3 entre moral i coneixement, entre b\u00e9 i veritat. La dita popular ho expressa molt m\u00e9s prosaicament: <em>del dit al fet hi ha un bon tret<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Tot i aix\u00f2, <strong>no \u00e9s el mateix una mentida que un error<\/strong>. Una mentida \u00e9s el falsejament conscient de la realitat coneguda; un error \u00e9s el resultat d\u2019un raonament o d\u2019un c\u00e0lcul equivocat. La mentida pertany a l&#8217;ordre moral, al discurs pr\u00e0ctic; l\u2019error a l\u2019ordre del coneixement, al discurs te\u00f2ric. Per\u00f2, \u00e9s clar, les mentides d\u2019uns persegueixen induir a l&#8217;error els altres. Si un pol\u00edtic o un pedag\u00f2crata garanteixen l&#8217;\u00e8xit escolar universal, estan mentint; si alg\u00fa els creu, est\u00e0 en un error. Jugar amb aix\u00f2 \u00e9s una immoralitat.<\/p>\n<p>Des de les primeres vacunes (<strong>E. Jenner, 1796<\/strong>) i antibi\u00f2tics (<strong>A. Fleming, 1928<\/strong>) sabem que hi ha individus al\u00b7l\u00e8rgics a aquest o aquell antibi\u00f2tic o vacuna. En el cas de la penicil\u00b7lina, per exemple, al voltant d&#8217;un 10% de la poblaci\u00f3<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a>. Un percentatge no gens negligible. Ara b\u00e9, no es va saber d\u2019aquestes al\u00b7l\u00e8rgies fins que es van emprendre campanyes massives de vacunaci\u00f3 o es va generalitzar l&#8217;\u00fas d&#8217;antibi\u00f2tics entre la poblaci\u00f3, l&#8217;efecte global dels quals, vist en perspectiva, no es pot considerar sin\u00f3 positiu. Igualment, que una part de la poblaci\u00f3 no pogu\u00e9s beneficiar-se de la vacuna de la verola, o fins i tot que tingu\u00e9s fatals conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies per a alguns haver-se-la inoculat, no va significar la retirada o la prohibici\u00f3 de la vacuna. Entre d\u2019altres raons perqu\u00e8 si s&#8217;hagu\u00e9s procedit a proscriure-la haurien continuat morint per milions, al\u00b7l\u00e8rgics i no al\u00b7l\u00e8rgics. Avui dia la verola es considera erradicada, la qual cosa ha acabat al capdavall beneficiant a uns i altres<a href=\"#_edn2\" name=\"_ednref2\">[ii]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Proclamar que cal acabar amb el frac\u00e0s escolar \u00e9s una declaraci\u00f3 de principis, com ara dir que cal acabar amb la verola; posar fil a l&#8217;agulla en aquesta tasca \u00e9s una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 pr\u00e0ctica que requereix de m\u00e8tode, de coneixement, d&#8217;informaci\u00f3 i d&#8217;an\u00e0lisi pr\u00e8via condicionada a la naturalesa de la realitat sobre la qual volem aplicar-la. \u00c9s a dir, fins on sigui factible i sempre conscients del limitat camp de les nostres possibilitats. <strong>Voler no \u00e9s necess\u00e0riament poder<\/strong>; saber potser tampoc, per\u00f2 s\u2019hi atansa m\u00e9s; no ser\u00e0 condici\u00f3 suficient, per\u00f2 s\u00ed necess\u00e0ria. O aix\u00f2, o acceptem que el ruc flautista de la faula era un refinat mel\u00f2man.<\/p>\n<p>Posem que el frac\u00e0s escolar sigui com una \u00abal\u00b7l\u00e8rgia\u00bb, o al\u00b7l\u00e8rgies, al sistema educatiu. D&#8217;acord amb aix\u00f2, el primer que cal recon\u00e8ixer \u00e9s que el frac\u00e0s escolar \u00e9s una cosa real i que, per m\u00e9s desitjablement que aconseguim reduir-lo, sempre n&#8217;hi haur\u00e0 en un cert percentatge, almenys mentre la naturalesa humana segueixi sent la que \u00e9s i l&#8217;escola el que hom suposa que ha de ser, \u00e9s a dir, una vacuna i no un mer placebo. I el segon, que aix\u00ed com hi ha frac\u00e0s escolar evitable, tamb\u00e9 n&#8217;hi ha de desgraciadament i fatalment inevitable. Assumir aix\u00f2 no agrada a ning\u00fa, \u00e9s clar, per\u00f2 aqu\u00ed no estem parlant de gustos ni de prefer\u00e8ncies.<\/p>\n<p>Amb tot sempre subjecte a revisi\u00f3 cr\u00edtica segons els resultats que es vagin obtenint, del que es tracta en relaci\u00f3 amb el frac\u00e0s escolar \u00e9s de proveir els remeis i pal\u00b7liatius al cas per habilitar alguna sortida digna, o la seva superaci\u00f3 sempre que sigui possible, i els revulsius que permetin superar les raons que amenacen de desembocar en aquest frac\u00e0s. Per\u00f2 no oficialitzar-ho sota <strong>eufemismes capciosos<\/strong> ni regalar-se en el <strong>victimisme<\/strong>. En altres paraules, si a un alumne els ex\u00e0mens li produeixen estats de p\u00e0nic, el que necessita no \u00e9s que se li donin per bons i se l\u2019eximeixi de fer-ne, sin\u00f3 aconseguir que aprengui a controlar i superar aquesta por.<\/p>\n<p>Tampoc no haur\u00edem d&#8217;oblidar quelcom que, per m\u00e9s evident que sigui, se sol negligir massa sovint: <strong>el frac\u00e0s escolar \u00e9s un epifenomen<\/strong>, un efecte col\u00b7lateral, si ho preferim, del sistema educatiu. Si desnaturalitzem l&#8217;escola per evitar el frac\u00e0s escolar, aleshores no \u00e9s vacuna, sin\u00f3 placebo, i aix\u00f2 \u00e9s com tallar-se el coll per una migranya. Si decretem, per exemple, la reducci\u00f3 de continguts, l&#8217;aprovat general o la promoci\u00f3 autom\u00e0tica de curs, estem <strong>fent-nos trampes al solitari<\/strong>, i enganyant els usuaris del sistema, els alumnes. I encara que pugui semblar una bajanada haver-ho de palesar, nom\u00e9s sabrem que hi ha frac\u00e0s escolar si es d\u00f3na el context en qu\u00e8 aquest es produeix. No hi ha al\u00b7l\u00e8rgics si no hi ha vacunes. I el que no serveix \u00e9s prohibir les vacunes per evitar saber que hi ha al\u00b7l\u00e8rgics o perqu\u00e8 el fet que n\u2019hi hagi contradigui les nostres teories o els nostres desigs.<\/p>\n<p>Si per evitar el frac\u00e0s escolar s&#8217;hagu\u00e9s convertit des d&#8217;un bon principi el sistema educatiu en una farsa com la que avui dia s&#8217;hi est\u00e0 representant, no s&#8217;hauria descobert mai que hi ha poblaci\u00f3 al\u00b7l\u00e8rgica a les vacunes o als antibi\u00f2tics, perqu\u00e8 no hi hauria ni vacunes ni antibi\u00f2tics; seguir\u00edem amb la verola, amb la pesta bub\u00f2nica i amb els bruixots que invocaven la pluja amb les seves danses al ritme del ra\u00fcc de les granotes. En definitiva, <strong>seguir\u00edem en la ignor\u00e0ncia de la qual alguns no volen que ens en desempalleguem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I s\u00ed, hi ha culpes, culpables i conxorxes, i v\u00edctimes; per\u00f2 de tot aix\u00f2 ja en parlarem un altre dia. Quedem-nos de moment amb la idea que el frac\u00e0s escolar \u00e9s un problema que cal combatre amb tots els mitjans al nostre abast; per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 que \u00e9s el frac\u00e0s escolar el que s&#8217;ha d&#8217;adaptar d\u2019alguna manera al sistema educatiu, i mai incondicionalment al rev\u00e9s. Fora d&#8217;aquesta perspectiva, ens estem carregant el sistema educatiu i universalitzant el frac\u00e0s, escolar i de tota la societat quant a projecte.<\/p>\n<p>___<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ednref1\"
