Els professors de matem\u00e0tiques de tercer decideixen fer una lli\u00e7\u00f3 basada en la metodologia del treball per projectes. Els alumnes investigaran per si mateixos <strong>com descobrir el preu d&#8217;una recepta de magdalenes<\/strong>, ja que en votaci\u00f3 resulta que aquest producte alimentari \u00e9s el m\u00e9s motivador per la majoria. Com que no ho acaben de veure clar, primer els expliquen com anir\u00e0 l&#8217;activitat, i els fan una explicaci\u00f3 dels c\u00e0lculs i fins i tot un <strong>Power Point<\/strong>, per si de cas el joves investigadors es dispersen. Un cop sembla que ja ho han ent\u00e8s, van al mercat a busca informaci\u00f3 sobre els preus, on hauran de calcular quant els costar\u00e0 en funci\u00f3 dels ingredients que necessiten. Un dels grups es troben una dependenta que s&#8217;entendreix de veure els alumnes perduts, i els ressol ella el problema. Vaja, no era aix\u00f2 del que es tractava. Un altre grup, que no t\u00e9 tanta sort, disciplinadament copia els preus dels ingredients en un full, per\u00f2 no agafa el pes dels paquets. Potser no ho havien ent\u00e8s tan b\u00e9. Hi ha un altre grup que t\u00e9 m\u00e9s clar el seu pla d&#8217;acci\u00f3, se&#8217;n van a un super que hi ha sota el mercat i es carreguen de llaminadures.<\/p>\n<p>El professor encarregat administra la situaci\u00f3 com pot, <strong>no queda massa b\u00e9 que una part d&#8217;una classe de matem\u00e0tiques consisteixi en comprar llaminadures<\/strong>. Despr\u00e9s de la motivadora acci\u00f3 que se&#8217;ls ha allargat una mica entre naps i cols, arriba el moment de posar la cosa en pr\u00e0ctica. I aix\u00f2 com es fa? \u00c9s la pregunta m\u00e9s repetida, doncs des de l&#8217;explicaci\u00f3 del power fins ara ha passat massa temps com per a que ning\u00fa ho recordi. <strong>Els professors decideixen facilitar la f\u00f3rmula<\/strong>, perqu\u00e8 si no all\u00ed no calcula ning\u00fa, i al final, els alumnes m\u00e9s espavilats de la classe aconsegueixen esbrinar quan hauran de pagar per fer aquelles magdalenes. La professora que dirigeix tota l&#8217;activitat, decideix fer ella les magdalenes per tot aquells alumnes, per arrodonir d&#8217;alguna manera tot plegat amb bon rotllo. Encuriosit, li pregunto a la professora en q\u00fcesti\u00f3 que n&#8217;opina de l&#8217;activitat. Segons ella, una lli\u00e7\u00f3 que es podia fer en dos dies l&#8217;han fet en quatre, i els resultats han estat m\u00e9s b\u00e9 minsos. Diu que s&#8217;ho han passat b\u00e9, aix\u00f2 s\u00ed, i que de tant en tant esbandir la boira va b\u00e9. Una altra cosa \u00e9s la proporci\u00f3 temps-aprenentatge, que diu que millor no mirar-la. Com un dels objectius d&#8217;aquesta metodologia \u00e9s aconseguir que els aprenentatges quedin m\u00e9s gravats en la mem\u00f2ria, li pregunto si li sembla que aix\u00f2 ho aconseguiran, i ella ho t\u00e9 clar: de les seves magdalenes se&#8217;n recordaran.<\/p>\n<p>De les concepcions err\u00f2nies darrere la <strong>idealitzaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;aprenentatge per projectes<\/strong>, val la pena destacar-ne dos. La primera, acompanyada la perniciosa denigraci\u00f3 de les classes magistrals concomitant, \u00e9s la idea de que els nens estan inactius quan escolten o miren al professor. Res m\u00e9s lluny de la realitat. Seguint aquesta teoria, els oients dels programes de r\u00e0dio s\u00f3n \u00e9ssers passius a qui se&#8217;ls posen conceptes en el seu cap, sent incapa\u00e7os d&#8217;agafar aquella informaci\u00f3 i valorar-la, seleccionar-la, descartar-la, o emocionar-se, emprenyar-se, alegrar-se, etc. Aquesta concepci\u00f3 nom\u00e9s passa per alt el petit fet de que l&#8217;activitat cognitiva \u00e9s invisible. <strong>Quiet no vol dir inactiu cognitivament<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;altra, \u00e9s la de que aix\u00f2 de fer exercicis repetits sobre qualsevol \u00e0rea de coneixement no \u00e9s innovador i per tant no funciona, i fa que els alumnes odi\u00efn la mat\u00e8ria. Comparem l\u2019episodi anterior amb un altre protagonitzat per un d\u2019aquells mestres republicans que es van haver de muntar acad\u00e8mies per poder guanyar-se la vida un cop expulsats del sistema p\u00fablic. Un senyor de setanta anys que va assistir a les seves classes explicava que &#8220;primer apren\u00edem la mec\u00e0nica de mem\u00f2ria, amb can\u00e7onetes, i poc a poc enten\u00edem el perqu\u00e8,\u00bb i afegeix \u00abno es pot pretendre comen\u00e7ar per entendre-ho tot de cop&#8221;. Segons ell, aquell mestre molts dies es quedava sense dinar amb alumnes castigats o corregint ex\u00e0mens. A classe era exigent, feia repetir les coses fins que s&#8217;aprenien. Ell, com a alumne avan\u00e7at, l&#8217;ajudava fins a les deu de la nit a corregir exercicis. Quan el senyor va canviar de poble de resid\u00e8ncia i va anar a un altra escola, el nou mestre va cridar el seu pare. Tenia vuit anys i sabia fer exercicis que feien els alumnes de catorze. Semblava ser, que a part de les capacitats de l&#8217;alumne, <strong>les can\u00e7onetes repetitives havien funcionat for\u00e7a b\u00e9<\/strong>. A la pregunta dels resultats d\u2019aquella t\u00e8cnica, el nostre senyor en q\u00fcesti\u00f3 va respondre que &#8220;tota la classe va sortir amb carreres t\u00e8cniques&#8221;.
